Rue goes to Eli’s house and gives him a USB drive that contains the Kline documents that Florence has not turned over. Rue tells him that she and Tisha have agreed to help Minami get her patent back; they believe that if Florence has been violating the terms of her loan, then Harkness has the right to know. She asks Eli to spend the rest of the evening with her and requests that they avoid discussing Kline any further. Eli agrees.

After taking Tiny for a walk, Eli cooks dinner for Rue, and they watch hockey together. Rue worries that she is not very good company, but Eli reassures her. Later, Eli carries Rue upstairs to have sex, but he stops midway and asks her to tell him whether their relationship is just about sex. On considering the question, she realizes that there is far more to their connection and admits as much.

Rue leaves early the next morning and before Eli wakes up. She wants to go home and shower before working at the lab. Nyota calls her while she is driving home and tells her to pull over because she has something important to say.
