Ana Huang vaulted onto the literary scene when her self-published Twisted series was picked up by Bloom Books and traditionally republished in 2022. Huang is the author of several contemporary romance novels and specializes in the subgenre of dark romance, which is known for portraying morally ambiguous male love interests and employing elements of mystery, danger, high tension, and explicit sexual content. Huang is Chinese American and advocates for diversity in the romance genre, often featuring Asian American characters in her novels—such as Vivian from King of Wrath, Ava from Twisted Love, and Josh from Twisted Hate.

Huang first began writing as a way to practice her English, and her hobby evolved into a career-making passion. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she began self-publishing her novels on Kindle Unlimited, and these first titles quickly gained traction amongst the “BookTok” community on TikTok. Twisted soon became a viral phenomenon that gained the attention of Bloom Books, an imprint of Sourcebooks publishing house. Ana Huang’s published works include the If Love series, the Twisted series, and the Kings of Sin series. The Kings of Sin will continue in 2025-2026 with the release of King of Envy, King of Gluttony, and King of Lust.
