Enchanted finds Gab’s boyfriend, Jay, and asks if he can help her get in touch with Gab. Jay says that he has no idea who Gab is, or what Enchanted is talking about. Enchanted gets another text from Korey, asking her to “Give [him] one night of [her] and this will all go away” (278). Enchanted realizes that Korey will never leave her alone.
The mothers of the other Will and Willow members try to suspend the Jones sisters’ membership, but Mrs. Jones argues that her daughter did nothing wrong. The mothers are divided: some blame Enchanted, stating that “She walked right into his house,” and “Girls are smart. They know what they doing” (280). Mrs. Jones reminds them that they all had secrets they kept from their mothers when they were young, and what happened to Enchanted could easily happen to any of their children. After some convincing, the mothers of the group agree to help Enchanted.
In a second meeting with detectives, Enchanted and her mother learn that Korey is accusing Enchanted of leaking the sex tape. He denies stalking her, and there is no evidence to prove otherwise. The detectives also reveal that Korey is married, and he is using his wife as an alibi.
